Federal and State Tax Incentives (410) 486-7171
The 2009 Stimulus Package includes up to 30% Federal Tax Incentives for Renewable Energy Systems. Unlike many prior incentive programs, these do not have limits and they apply to the complete installed cost.
There are similar Maryland State Tax Incentives, but these have limits due to the total annual State budget limits, and they are effectively available on a first come first serve basis. Maryland State has exempted the 6% Retail Sales Tax on most renewable energy equipment sales.
There are also incentives from the Manufacturers and BG&E.
Like most government programs the challenge is in the details. As part of all proposals BHA provides information about what incentives and discounts are applicable.
BHA has in-house specialist who monitor the incentive programs and understand the compliance guidelines.
In most cases the cost of upgrading to a more energy efficient option, which qualify for the tax incentives and manufacturers discounts, can be directly offset by these tax incentives and discounts.
BHA has a team of specialists that explore all the options for you. Put the Bibb Henry Albert's Team of specialists to work for you and insure you get your piece of the Stimulus Package.
