Federal and State Tax Incentives (410) 486-7171
The 2009 Stimulus Package includes up to 30% Federal Tax Incentives for Renewable Energy Systems. Unlike many prior incentive programs, these do not have limits and they apply to the complete installed cost.
There are similar Maryland State Tax Incentives, but these have limits due to the total annual State budget limits, and they are effectively available on a first come first serve basis. Maryland State has exempted the 6% Retail Sales Tax on most renewable energy equipment sales.
There are also incentives from the Manufacturers and BG&E.
